"You comin scoo with me?"

So today was Heber's great big day! He was so thrilled with his "packback for scoo" that he wanted it on as soon as he woke up. "Hmmm.....do I really want to go in those doors?"
Luckily for Heber red robot got to accompany him to take all those worries away.

I thought this picture turned out so cute. I begged and pleaded with him to turn around but he would not, so I settled for what I could get......I actually like this one best.

All tuckered out! One hour of school is enough to make anyone sleepy! This is Heber's new "cat" napping spot.

He was such a big boy today and I am so proud of him. He walked right in and took off his backpack, said hello to his teacher, waved bye to mom, and ran in just like he had done it every day of his life.

I on the other hand had one very large lump in my throat as I walked down the hallway to a room for other moms just like me referred to as "comfort corner." Since the kids started with only an hour of school today instead of their normal 2.5 hour day they had a room set up with goodies for the parents. I was grateful to be able to stay so close, though he did not need me at all, and get a chance to meet some of the other moms from his classroom.

Lets all cross our fingers and pray that Thursday will go as well as today!

He is such a big boy! I am so glad that his first day went so well. The pictures are adorable! I like the one where he is looking at the sign with his back to you too! Good Luck with future days at school.

Oh Rachel I can feel your pain, I still get a lump in my throat when Keion leaves for school at the beginning of the year, maybe that's because we move all the time, either way I know the feeling. I was getting a little lump in my throat just reading about Heber starting to school and how big he looks. I so wish you lived closer. You MUST come see us!

Heber will love preschool. IT is the highlight of Harlee's day. She has been so bumbed because she didn't have school this summer. My best advice for you is enjoy the 2 hours and do something for yourself. It will become time you will both look forward to.

School was great for Jake too! He was so big and I did pretty good until he told me he would miss me. That's when he got a little sad, I just hurried and kissed him and was out the door or we both would have been crying! Hope all is well. How is Ben doing? Take care.

He looks so big and grownup with that backpack on, and all ready for school. I'm sure Heber will love preschool, and eventually you'll love the time alone to be able to do whatever you want. :) You'll have to keep us posted on all his preschool adventures and what he things of it.
