Counting my BLESSINGS

It's not that unusual, when everything is
beautiful,
it's just another ordinary
miracle
today.
-Sarah McClachlan
This morning as Heber lay in my lap we had a conversation that went something like this:
Heber (holding 2 batteries): I have 3 batteries.
Me: You have 2 batteries.
Heber: Yep, I have 2 batteries (trying to hold up 3 fingers)
Me (showing him how to use 2 fingers and then 3 fingers): This is 2 and this is 3, you are 3 years old.
Heber: No, I am Heber John Olson.
Me: How old are you Heber?
Heber: Heber John Olson.....How old are you mama?
Me: I am 29 years old.
Heber (giggling now): No, you're Rachel.
Me: Yes I am Rachel and I am 29 years old.
Heber: No, you are just Rachel John Olson
Me: Are you sure?
Heber: No, I am Heber!

Kids are so much fun. I love conversations like that. I always say to Kenna-"Kenna you are a sweetheart" and she always says back, "No Mama-I'm Kenna!" Thanks for keeping in touch. It has been way too long since I have seen you. I do miss you so much and hope you are doing well. Love you!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I know medical school will go by so fast. I still am amazed we've made it this far so fast. We are enjoying the journey, and are having so much fun. Your little boy is so cute. He has beautiful eyes. Like you said, I probably don't know you unless you have younger siblings, but I know your husband's family (John and Brandi). It's good to hear from you, and good luck in residency. Well be in that same situation soon (hopefully).
